Regarding this- I have a similar 1973 Johnson 115 power shift II; I am completely new to boat engines but my father informed me to really research what type of gear lube to use. I guess I am confused, but can anyone tell me exactly what type of lube? The only kind I found at bass pro was a high performance SAE90- but missed where it said on the back "do not use in OMC electric gear housings."
I am a newbie and am not familiar with boat oil/lube. Want to get started on this before my manual arrives. Any help/info on this would be greatly appreciated.
