A whole lots.

OK 80# PP has a diameter equivilant to 18# mono. A Penn 330 GTI will hold 350 yds. of 30#. Guessing that 18# diameter would take up a little better than half the space of 30# I'd say about 650 to 700 yds of Power Pro give or take.

Power Pro costs about 10 cents on average. To put on 700 yards of it, that'd cost about 70 bucks. Not worth it in my opinion.

Many fishermen use a hundred or so yards of PP backed up by 80 or 100lb mono.

On my bait casters I use 100yd of PP and back them up with mono to fill the reel.

Unless you expect to get spooled there is no need to fill the whole reel with such expensive line.

First off, you're better off using dacron as a backer as mono has a tendency to shink which puts stress on your spool, not good.

Back to your question, I run Penn 330 GTI and use 75 yards of #80 lb dacron as backing and follow that up with a 300 yards spool of #80 Power Pro.

BTW: They say #80 PP is equivalent to #18 mono but that is a bit of a stretch. I measured 6 different spools of #80 Power Pro and they all measured out to more like #25 mono
