Power Pack

I lost spark to both cylinders on my 1995 30 mariner and i was told that it was maybe the power pack. I was wondering if it is possible to test it to see it that is the prob before i buy a new one?

i have been in the same situation, and as a do it yourselfer. what i did was metered the input side of the control mod (dc voltage), while cranking the engine or pull start whatever it is if you get voltage to the module and not out of it its probably the mod, if no voltage to the mod its probably something with the stator just an idea, could be a numer of things but thats where i would start.
