As I was writing to a freind when the power went out.. Kind of funny, because yesturday mom went into town to pay it.. So I walk to her house and thought it would be funny to bug her about it .. Now I already knew it was an outage, but she didn't...<br />So I go over and she is all freaked out about the power. 
. She thought they turned it off and the payment hadn't gone through.. So now she is on the phone, playing the computer talk game.. So I let her do her thing and tried not to laugh to much.. She's looking at me telling me this isn't funny Barbara. .. I'm trying to not laugh, cause she is doing the computer voice machine.. Which I keep telling her to sing, if she you wants a real person. Finally she gets feed up and hangs up. She then walks back and ask me what I am laughing at.. Oh nothing.... She then try's again and I said to her, don't say anything and it will transfer you to a real person. . She of course says to the computer,, I want a real person dammit. .. Never tried that one before.. It worked. ... She got a real person... Of course they got the payment and it was indeed a real power outage.. Then she turns to me and said, And I just bet, you think your so funny.. YEP, you should of seen the panic look on your face running around cussing at the bill you were holding. .<br />I had to do the common sence thing and explain, The electric company doesn't shut you off at 11:42.. It would of been 5pm on a Friday.. That way you have plenty of time to think about next time to pay the bill.. it won't be late.. Then you get time to explain how the rental needed paint before the bills were paid.. Of course that wasn't the case, but that is want I was thinking...<br />It was funny. Power came back on at 1:50pm something..<br />Tried to call her for somemore teasing, but she wouldn't answer the phone..<br />I'm sure this has happened to others, thinking maybe you forgot to pay the bill too.
