1994 OMC 115 turbor jet in a Boston Whaler will lose power after about 20 min. operating time. Power loss is around 800rpm. Got it to pick back up today. I have replaced a bad spark plug wire, but that did not entirely solve problem. Idles in water at 950rpm which is within spec. Checked fuel pick up tube with plan to clean filter, but no metal screen and tube was not bent to horizontal. Shop manual says it should be. Coils checked out fine. Fine means good ground and 255 ohms w/out engine running.

2nd concern is an infrequent miss at idle. Noticed this while on the garden hose during flush out. This miss is more like a stumble with a mechanical sound? The rpm's will drop from 1100 to 1050 or 1000, but they pick back up right away. I really don't want to swap out parts ie power pack and so on as a way of trouble shooting so if anyone has a suggestion it would be appreciated. Zebramidge, I read your posts which are similar to my concerns. Did you solve problem?
