Power issues

I recently replaced a rewired a section in my boat and now have no power coming out of my Mercury 60 hp fourstroke. I have power in the battery, and have found that power is getting to the motor but the wire that goes from the motor to the main isolation switch does not have any power I have checked all the fuses that I could find, I am at a loss as to why this is happening. please advise me of possible causes and remedies

Did you check the fuse under the cowling?

Yes I have checked all fuses as per the manual

Where do they usually put that, I will go outside and get it when it stops raining here in Tasmania Australia

Managed to find it in the outboard paperwork. the serial number is OT566942

Something strange as you say that you have a 60 four stroke but the s/n 0T566942 comes up as:

MERCURY - (200EFI H.P. (2002 ))
Serial No: 0T566942 Model No: 1200423ZY

Are you sure about the s/n?

I have had a look at the motor and found the following number ECM0704

Bloody hell they don't make it easy to find the serial numbers after an exhaustive search I have found them model number is 1A60412HZ serial number is 1C081618[/B]

Yep. 60 HP EFI China made 2006 model.
