I am attempting to remove the power block from an Evinrude XP150 engine. I have removed all of the bolts and nuts that I can see and the power block will not budge. After reading some forums, they mention some long bolts that bolt the lower part of the engine to the power block. I cannot see any more bolts. How do you access these bolts? Also I have attempted removing the flywheel with a puller. The flywheel will not come off. Is there anything holding the flywheel on besides the large nut on top? I would appreciate any help.

Model number? Remove the small fiberglass shield that exists just under the hood pan (exposes powerhead retaining bolts). I strongly suggest that you refrain from touching that engine until you obtain a service manual in order to avoid a expensive mistake.

Agree +1. Get an OEM Service Manual.
