I have a bravo 3 outdrive and gimble assembly I have just been sent a refurbished transom housing but unfortunately had a crack in it.It has since been welded and about to have the weld dye tested. My question is what is the best stuff to use to seal the weld(jb epoxy etc)and could I get it all powder coated.
Thanks andy.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard Andy,.... Ya Epoxy, whether ya mix it yerself, or buy JB weld stuff,...

Donno if it can be powder coated, I've never tried powder coatin' anything,...
I only see my drive twice a year, 'n I shoot it with Rustoleum enamel whenever it needs it,...

Powder coat requires high temp to melt down the powder paint could mess with the epoxy if that is what you are using to coat the weld area. Rustoleum works very well.
