Does anyone know what year that Starcraft switched from foam board to poured foam for flotation?

You can check out Glen (Dozer's) most recent thread to see it re-foamed using poured in foam. Keep in mind it was poured in foam... but Glen made some modifications so that the issues... specifically gasoline related issues... don't happen again.

It starts in and around here... but you may want to go back a bit and see him getting rid of the foam to get an idea of some of the issues he experienced.

Some time around 1978 started the pour in foam. There are exceptions though....

LOL... guess I read that just a tad wrong! Sorry about that! But I would agree with CJ on that... it was somewhere in the late 70's.

I don't believe we have ever seen any 1978's with pour in foam. We have seen pour in foam in 1979's (I have one), but not all 1979's.....

After 1979 the odds are greater that there will be pour in foam.

I agree with you DJ. Unfortunately, my 78 SS had pour in foam :blue:

So there are some exceptions.
