Potential Water Flow Blockage

This week I navigated in about 2' of Alabama backwater. I noticed I was churning up a lot of muddy water. I have read some postings about pump problems that may be caused by blockage. My question is how can I determine if I my have some blockage. The motor appears to performing at its top end. May be I'm just overly concerned. This is a 1990 60hp Erude motor. Thanks

Is your water pressure the same as it was? Not higher or lower? Any alarms? (we're assuming the alarms work -- might check)

If the water pump has not been replaced in a couple of years it might be a good time to do it whether it actually needs it or not.
