Why would I get a response saying I am not authorized to post a new topic?

Check to make sure the Remember Me box is checked when you log in. You may have timed out, it doesnt take too long and if you dont check the box, then close the browser window, when you open a new window, you may not notice that you arent logged in automatically.

Clearly, you can start a topic, you started this one.

Otherwise it may have been a glitch/error

I get this every time it takes me a while to answer. Most time it turns out a moderator has deleted the thread due to there where others of the same one. If you start a thread and then the page goes blank, stop and refresh the page after a bit of time. Most errors of this type are fixed by this as I have seen

reload - Did you have log in again after getting the not authorized to post message? A sure sign you didn't click remember me when you logged on.

AllDodge - I get the same thing, although I'm usually trying to delete the same duplicate post. :doh:

I'm not sure what happened but when I went back and checked it was there. Must have been a glitch as stated.
