Posting a picture from you cell phone on FaceBook?

I have the facebook ap. When I try to post a picture facebook asks me to sign in with a telephone number. I went to facebook on my PC and cannot figure out where to enter a telephone number.

I do not have my cell number in. Are you logged on th fb in general on your phone?

I dont use the FB app, I simply log in with my browser. Then again, I dont use many apps, I simply use the browser.

I do not have my phone number on FB.

My facebook in my iphone just asked to access the pictures in my settings and I am signed in to facebook the same way as I do on any desk top

To clear this up, I do not have my cell number on facebook either. Turns out, when trying to post a picture from my mobile, I could either sign into facebook with my username OR my telephone number. It just was not clear when the login page came up. In fact when I tried to register my cell phone number on facebook they emailed back and said that the carrier (verizon) did not recognize my number. I keep getting emails to that effect. I just let the issue die and log in with my user name.

It is a Samsung Android, thumpar. When I select a picture from my Gallery, I hit the Share Icon and it opens up a number of choices to share to. When I select Facebook, facebook asks me to sign in. The little sign up box was pre-populated with a request for a phone number. That is what confused me. However you can ignore that and just enter your normal Facebook user name and you are off an running to share your picture.
