Hey guys,

I am thinking of buying a 1988 phantom illusion but wanted some feedback. I have attached the link on craigslist. I emailed the guy and he said there are no soft spots and it runs great. Was just curious if this was a good price. Also I was trying to find out who made the boat, I assumed Phantom boats but when I searched it on nadaguides.com I could not find this boat as to how much it weighs. He stated that he did not know how many hours were on it.

Thanks for your help in advance.

OMC went Outa business over a decade ago,...
'n that would be an early Cobra drive,....

There are no soft spots because if you look in the pictures someone has replaced the bad floor with some kind of decking. Guaranteed bad rot underneath. Pass on this one. Unless you want a total restore project on a boat with an out of date driveline..

$4K for a 25 plus year old boat, with unknown history. Might be a bit high on price. I would move past it too, the flooring/sole looks aftermarket, meaning it was rotted at one time, and who knows about how it was fixed/covered back up. Rot starts low, and goes up, usually.
