possibly a 69 Johnson 40 horse outboard

I would like to figure out for sure what motor I have but can't locate a model number or serial number anywhere. cowl says its a 40 super seahorse electramatic...

The colour tells me it is a 1967 model.----Only year that used that green !----You will need a working generator in order to run that electric shift motor.-----Those electric shift lower units are very good and reliable.----I am one of a few that have that opinion on the electric shift.----Install a new water pump impeller.----Remove flywheel to inspect ignition coils.----If original they will be cracked and need new ones.----Coils are easy to find and in stock at almost every shop that repairs older motors.
