Possible New Project - Need Opinions

Howdy Folks, I just want to throw something by you. I have an opportunity to purchase TWO mid 60's Johnson 75hp outboards for $400. That's for the both of them, with a big rolling stand, plus shifters, throttles, and extra props. One is completely locked up,the other will actually turn over. They've been in a warehouse for awhile, so there's no exposure to the elements. These are electric shift units. I've heard a lot of bad stuff about those.This sounds like a great price, but I'm wondering if it's even worth it considering the "electric shift" factor.I can't even think of the size of boat needed to support these things, and I certainly don't have anything that big, but a good project maybe? Turn a few bucks possibly? As I said, I don't know squat about these units, but it sounds like a nice price.

I'd keep looking Geek. Something post 1980 will come up sooner or later. I've gotten good deals on buying complete boats. Some people just want them out of their yards when they become eyesores.

I've been offered those type motor's for free, I turn them down.
