Possible Lower End Problem ?

I was loading my boat on the trailer this afternoon.I put in in forward and drove it on the trailer.I could not get it on the pin under its own power. I noticed that the prop did not seem to be turning the prop very quickly.Because of this I had to winch the boat up.Also the shifter now engages very softly.The engines revs fine. Any ideas? It is a Merc 150 H.P XJ6.

Sounds like a trip to the prop shop for a new hub.If you hit something on the last trip on the lake,you broke the rubber hub free from the prop.

You were correct. I took the prop off and sure enough the inside was trashed.Not a high cost fix. 49 bucks on iboats.It has the tornt whatever that is. Thanks for your help.
