Possible Leak

I was working on my E90TLEND today and noticed that when I had it on the muffs that water was coming out where the gearcase meets the exhaust housing. Is there supposed to be a gasket of some kind here? Is this a sign of a major problem? Thanks

That joint is metal to metal, just make sure the bolt are tight but no it doesn't matter if ti leaks.

Water comes out all over the place when you run them on muffs, I had the same question the first time I redid my water pump, I was sure I screwed something up.

If you mean where the mid section meets the lower unit then no worries. It is not a problem to be concerned with. Rick.
