We plan on moving the portable gas tanks forward and under the bow deck on 3 outboard runabouts, and installing long fuel lines, thereby moving some weight away from the stern. some of the old tanks require removing the line fitting from the tank which allows a valve to close thereby preventing the tank from venting fumes. a good idea.<br />My question is, can there be another way to prevent the tanks from thermo-venting that doesn't involve crawling hands and knees under deck to disconnect? Disconnecting at the motor isn't an option.
