I've recently purchased a 22 foot boat with the intent to learn how to salt water fish. I plane on taking it with my family down to St Joe Fl on the 4th of July. I fished there once for speckled trout and used top water lures but didn't have much luck. At this time of the year what fish are in season and what is the best way to catch them? I've done a lot of fresh water fishing for bass, brim, and crappy but I'm not sure what kind of tackle and what kind techniques are use for salt water fish. I would appreciate any advice any one could give me for our trip on the forth.
