[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]I have currently run into a problem with the Port Side/Engine on my 2011 Formula 34 PC, with twin fresh water cooled 496, DTS and Axius, and was wondering if anyone else had a similar issue. Upon returning to dock (boat ran fine, actually returned home at idle speed(low tide/5mph zone) I received a Port Shift Alarm, which resulted in the engine going into Guardian Mode (idle speed only). The engine even will stall out. Upon turning the engine off and back on the alarm goes off until I try to put the engine in gear and then the scenario repeats. I have tried using the boat and if I can get the boat to restart and keep the idle up it seems to run fine until I hit my canal and have to reduce to idle speed. My mechanic(Mercruiser Master Mechanic) worked on the boat for a day, "reset" and cleaned out raw water intake but my first run after picking it up and the problem persists! He's scratching his head ?!?. Claims he called Mercruiser who had virtually no input as to the source of my issue.
