port or starboard trim switch

I have an 86 alpha 1 . I am trying to adjust the trim . The starboard trim cover has the initials TL on it and the port has nothing. Is this correct? In the manual it looks like its the other way around, if TL is the switch. In the manual it also looks like it actual says Starboard and port on the cover

The trim limit should be on the port side. If it is on the starboard you should be able to switch them.

^^^ #1^^^ Trim Limit (TL) is on port. Trim Sender is on stbd and is usually marked starboard on it.
