Popping sound coming out of the carb when I open up the throttle

3.0 Mercruiser 140. when I open the throttle, I hear popping coming from the carb. Any ideas?
Also, anybody know where I can Exhaust tubes instead of the exhaust bellows?

You may have a burnt or bent intake valve.

Also check your plug wires for proper firing order, carb for accelerator pump operation.

Wit it rev if you go up slowly on the throttle?

it will idle ok, and it will response to throttle pretty good. However, once i push the throttle half way it starts to pop. If she is running lean, what makes the carb pop?

Your timing needs to be checked. Lean can cause a backfire. A wipped lobe can cause a backfire (had that happen). Start with the basics, fire and fuel!

Is it a constant small pop-pop-pop-pop? or a couple of big pops?
Other than the mechanical problems, valves, cam, timing, a weak coil has cause a small constant pop-pop in my and my fathers boat.
