Popping cork

For you guys that use the popping cork. How deep are you normally fishing when using this technique? I want to try this in freshwater for bass. I want to see if it's even practical at all before I invest in some of them. It looks like it could works with some of the Gulp Alive products.

depth varies, depending on what the target fish is, I've used them in 6' of water for trout or a foot for snook in mangroves and yes they work great with gulp products, I've found just an occasional twitch works best.

I'm using a version of these...mainly for the noise made by the sliding beads. Up here we have some flats in 12 - 14' and I have set these as deep as 8'. Any deeper and it's harder to toss!!

I use the same ones, they work great.

Just make sure what ever you use they have beads or bb's or something that rattles.
