Popping/ backfire

Hello,
I got a question regarding the cold start of my Force. I was using a tub of water because I don't have hose use at my apartment. I had water up to the snout but not covering it. Would this cause the popping sound I was hearing. And how would I correct it. I recorded it with my camera, its about a 5 minute video. Please watch and tell me what you think.

Were you using the choke and fast idle setting when starting it?

Thats the carbs air screws in too much.1 and 1/16 turn out and leave it.
Do u use the idle advance when trying to start? You might need to use more choke too.Jerry

Yes, I choked it a little more than usual being not ran all winter.
