I recently purchased a Parker 2520 Sport cabin with a 1996 Mercury 225 Offshore (carbs). While flushing the engine with the cover off, I noticed a trickle of water coming from the Poppet Valve cover. I took it off and there was a tiny hole in the diaphragm. I replaced the entire Valve Assembly and it still is leaking from the hole in the cover. Is this supposed to leak a little? I also installed a new water pump kit and thermostats. Motor runs fine, does not overheat and a good tell-tale.
