Brought new Poppet carrier, grommet, diaphragm, seals, etc for 2000 2.5L EFI today (had high pressure problem after rebuild). I have seen comments that you should stake the carrier, being a plastic item how do you do it? Also I am interested in the theory of poppet operation, I think that I know how it works, but I have been wrong before about outboards (blown motors as testament). Also which end of carrier goes into block first? Beveled or flat edge probably will be apparent once I pull it, but want to know in advance.
