Hello, i just joined and thought someone could help me with my problem, i've got a 18ft G3 pontoon with a 50 HP Yamaha Fore Stroke motor, i'm getting water all over the motor and the back of my deck, when i get up to top speed it sprays water everywhere and i've checked my Logs and there's no water in them but my pontoon sits low in the back and don't know why, everything looks good under the bottom and the Transom looks good, so maybe someone can give mr some info on my problem THANKS

Frequently, that kind of thing happens when the motor is mounted too low on the transom.

Sorry, but without pictures that's about all the help I can provide.

Thanks for the reply, i bought this pontoon new in 2010 and it just started doing this about a month ago, i have checked everything that i know and looked at everything under the bottom, haven't seen anything that would cause this water to spray all over the motor and the back of my pontoon, i'm going to try putting me some deflectors on each side of the motor, i would put some pictures on here but i am in Ky and my pontoon is in Tennessee, but i'm going down next weekend so i'll take some pictures then but hope the deflectors work, will post about them later, Thanks ahicks

If you've had the toon since new in 2010 and it just started spraying a month ago, deflectors will only be covering up what's gone bad.

Have you made any changes that may have caused the recent spraying? Any changes at all?

Might be time to get back in the water and have a look at the fasteners that hold the engine pod to the cross members, as well as the cross members themselves. Failures of either are not unheard of!

Have you recently relocated anything to the rear of the boat?

Probably goes without saying those smaller 4 stoke powered 'toons (16' and 18') are pretty weight sensitive. A change like that could easily lower the back enough to cause some spray. Best of luck!
