pontoon loading problem

I just traded up to a 2005 Aqua Patio w/200 evinrude e-tec I love it except... the trailer I got with the boat does not have any guides to help me load, and i do most of my boating on the river (lot of current)so unloading is no problem but loading is kicking my a55. I thought "overtons" or "Bass Pro" might have a kit that i could bolt on but I'm not seeing any thing. Is there a place I can order a kit with rollers or inner bunks?

Thanks,
Damon

Plenty of options here, just pick the one that will work for your situation.

Or here

I personally like something like this.
I don't know if it will work for you or not as I don't have a toon.

Re: pontoon loading problem

On a bunk style pontoon trailer you need internal guide rails, not the post style. These are padded rails that run the length of the bunks and guide the pontoon full length - between the tubes. I have them on mine and my pontoon is easier to load than my walleye boat. I routinely load in a 3 MPH river current. Check the Shorelander Boat Trailer web side. They don't show a very good picture of them but it gives you an idea what they look like. I will also take a picture and post it later. You will not be disappointed with this setup.

Not really sure how your trailer is setup but what exactly are you looking for? Just a guide to let you know where you need to be in relation to the trailer since it's under water, or something a little more permenant such as guide bunks on the sides? If you need just a guide while its underwater... maybe a pair of those goofy fiberglass flagpoles that they put on bikes and golfcarts?!? They are nice and tall, and they can take a beating.. and best of all.. cheap!

Re: pontoon loading problem

Those full length bunks on the inside of the pontoons are good for up front on semi steep ramps but about as helpful as those short poles are at the trailer stern posted above.
I have full length inside bunks and without the tall pole style guide-ons at the stern, outside the boat, the stern of the boat drifts off center at the ramp.

I would at least install the short pole guide-ons up front and the tall ones at the stern.
