Re: Pontoon jack plate?

John,
You sound like a guy I know. You wouldn't happen to be from PA would you? Anyway, just how fast do you want to go in a pontoon boat? I have a 28ft. Sundowner, but It's just for pleasure putting. You know, couple beers, small grill, throw anchor and hope to get lucky. That sort of thing. I am interested in your "Hydro-Toon" though. Please keep us posted on your progress.

Hi averyj
The only thing that will help with lower HP toons, is a 3rd log in the middle or lifting strakes. Raising the motor will only help if your running an extra long shaft and the prop is way down in the water. Small differences in Motor heighth on a toon don't matter nearly as much as planing hulls. Don't waste the money...
