Pontoon horn or warning buzzer?

I have a 2004 Lowe suncruiser pontoon. On the helm ( outside of drivers console ) I have a oval shaped speaker or horn looking thing its not a speaker has 2 wires going to it wires have been pulled out? ?? Not sure what this is just bought the boat......Does anyone know what this is? It is black oval shaped has 2 wires going to it.

Being a pontoon, I'd say it is for a horn... My neighbor has a pontoon and his has a horn... But that is just my wild guess...

definitely a horn, hook 12v to it and see what happens.

thanks for advice hooked a tester to the wires hit horn and light comes on

I'd get the horn working. If you get stopped you need to have a functioning signaling device of some kind.

How big is your 'horn'?? If small (about the size of a 50 cent piece) it might be the warning buzzer for your motor. If large (size of your fist) it is probably the horn. If you are stopped for a safety inspection, you need a horn.
