I have a 20' Pontoon Boat, (non foam filled Pontoons) and tore a 2" X 3.5" hole in the front section (the tapering cone end) of the left pontoon. (Windy day, rough water, metal angle on the trailer.....you get the picture). My question is this: Is there any way to put a patch over this with Devcon, or any metal type epoxy, or weld a patch over it? From looking at the discussion boards, I guess I am the only person that has ever been stupid enough to do this. HELP!!!

Yes, Pontoons are Aluminum. I figured that, but I am relatively new to this, and thought some of you Older Hands might have an answer that at least sounded better to my wife, you know?

Re: Pontoon Boat

Anyone with expierience welding aluminum should beable to handle this repair. It may not hurt to have them patch it first and then put a slightly larger piece over the spot also.
