Pontoon boat Info

I recently purchased a J.C Pontoon boat. It is a JC 820
serial # BSV06264F585 . Would like to know what year it is and any other info.

The 820 Model was made from 1982-1989. It weighs in at 1100 Lbs. This is according to NADA...

I have a Suzuki 30 hp short shaft outboard which I would like to place on a 17 or 18 foot pontoon boat. All the boats seem to require long shaft outboards, and no one can suggest an adapter to place a short shaft o/b on a pontoon rig. It certainly seems something of that sort would be available, but I have been unable to find it. Any suggestions, anyone? Thanks - John
