So likely the sunk boat owner will get a ticket for being illegally parked or parked beyond legal stay or will the police own up and pay up. I see a new boat on the horizon for someone!

The police boat put a hole in the Sea Ray Sundancer 240 that was about 3 feet long and 1 foot high. The Sea Ray sank in seconds. The Sea Ray operator, who was not aboard at the time of impact, had borrowed the boat from a friend for the day.

I *think* that sort of stuff seems to happen when you lend out your boat . . . kind of like "Murphy's Law" of lending prized possessions to friend & relatives . . .

I would never lend out my boat, can't see why some would want to borrow one ether. maybe it's just me but piloting a boat is an acquired skill and it changes with every boat.
