I am sorry i have no clue what it's called. I have a Polairs SL-750 around a 95 or 94 i belive. I am having a fuel issue and belive i have got it down to carbs. I would like not to place it in the water and waste people's time at the launch while i adjust. I know there is a hook up where you can hook a garden hose up to it so it's kept cool while i run it out of the water. Kinda like the Muffs for my outboard.

Anythoughts or suggestions?

Thanks much appreciated.

If you look on the top of the engine, there is a water manifold that will have a cap towards the back. It is a standard hose fitting, but due to the placement you need an adapter. I went to the hardware and bought a piece of garden hose, a 90deg elbow, and some clamps, and made a 90deg adapter out of it. It has worked flawlessly for me. One thing though, be careful that the ski is sitting level, the front cylinder is notorious for running hot when on the hose. Also, since it is a 3 cylinder, you are going to have to sync the carbs while adjusting, its not difficult, but you will need a manometer.

Once you get it running right at home on the hose, you are still going to have to dunk it to finalize things as it won't run the same with the pump loaded.

Thank you much!!! I am so happy it does have something right where you said. I can see what you mean about adding a junk of tubing and will follow your lead on that.

Have the carbs off right now.. every since i picked it up it will run like a wild man for 10 seconds then die... Just long enough for the carbs to be drained of their fuel. Of course some nut stripped two of the screws in the carb but i'll get them out.

Thanks again hopefully when i get them rebuilt it won't be too hard to sync them up.

Please make sure that do dont have the flushing water on without the engine running, the correct way is to start the engine, then turn on the water and when you have finished, switch the water off before stopping the engine.

The exhaust is water cooled and without the engine running you can fill the exhaust then the clinders and eventually the crankcase!
