Hi self. Welcome to iboats. Cool new toy you got there. No worries, replacement pulleys, cables and hardware are still readily available at the link below. Although, you could also convert to modern cable steering as well for about the same money. As far as the rest of the boat goes, these old tinnies are pretty easy to work on. Just remember, never use pressure-treated wood. Instead, use non-pt plywood and seal it with epoxy, spar urethane, or exterior paint. You'll then want to use stainless steel hardware and aluminum rivets throughout. Be sure to seal any through-hull fittings with some 3M 5200 marine caulk. That's really about it. Good luck on the resto. There are lots of Starcraft guys here who can help you out.

Thank you, so much!! yeah that what I'm wondering what is the best!!! I research but don't know exactly what unit will work! For the steering and even if I went back to the pulleys I don't know how to run them. Its a single side pulley system on the starport side.. is there to different ways the pulleys systems work? I seen the eflux single cable but don't know if that what ill need or not ?

Hello again self. Yes, there are 2 different ways to run your pulley and cable steering. You can run both the cables down one side of the boat, or one cable down each side of the boat. In the link below, you can see both versions. Post #7 shows the version in which one cable goes down each side. This is the most common method used.

Vagabond steering - YouTube (here is an example)
Picklefork Notes 9 (another similar example)
Glen-L Squirt Build: Cable & Pulley Steering (the parts you will need)

Columns - Obsolete Outboards (this will show you how to install the items)

Post #16 shows the second version in which both cables are run down one side of the hull.

No problem. It's a little tricky to understand how all the bits go together, but it's actually a pretty simple system once you get the hang of it. Like I said, you can convert your motor to a modern steering system, if you want to, but you can also keep it retro as well.
