If you buy a quality set, there should be no difference. Sometimes length will be the difference... as most manifolds will be in the way. Make sure they are going to fit Just use dielectric grease on all your connections and you should be fine. Don't go automotive with dist cap or plugs.
Thanks. As far as the plugs go all they have are NGK type and i would perfer to use AC plugs in small block chevy. Are the NGK plugs anygood. I always thought that they were more for motorcycles than boat motors.
There are marine ngk's. Heck, they make plugs for about everything! Ac delcos are good too. Both around $2 ea. I would run what you like or what is available.
length and type of ends is the determining factor. With the marine exhaust manifolds, the wires are usually routed completely different from automotive. As far as type of cap and rotor, some are the same as automotive, in most cases marine distributors aren't even used on automotive. depends a lot on what year and model engine you have.
Thanks again. I went to Auto bone and looked at some wire sets and they didnt have the right ends on them for the cap. Guess i have to up the anti for the dealer price.
