This to me is just stupid, not a trick. Last year I was fishing about 100 feet to the right of the outlet of the lake in my town, Id say 50 feet offshore. The outlet goes under a railroad trestle and is deep enough to boat down for a 1/2 mile or so untill it gets way too shallow. Now Im fishing in about 3-4 feet of water, 100 feet from the deeper channel where I am in no way in anybodys way when I hear a boat coming upstream into the lake. A small 14ft or smaller Boston Whaler type boat shoots under the trestle, and turns in my direction. (Keep in mind Im standing in my bow, casting toward shore in 3 feet of water) The 2 older "gents" and 1 woman look me right in the eye and cruise right in-between me and shore! I had to reel in like a madman to keep my line from getting chewed up in their prop. Not to mention the sounds I heard from the aforementioned prop chewing into the bottom, logs and such. Now this lake is 3 miles wide, and 7 miles long, so behind me and my fishing spot, there is PLENTY of room for the disrespectfull boatload to continue on thier merry way without ruining my fishing. People like this should NEVER own a boat, and proves that just owning a boat doesnt make you a boater. I hope to see them out there again this year, Ill make sure to make an errant cast with a rather large rattl-trap.
