PLEASE HELP..Timing on a 1993 OMC 3.0L Cobra, EST Ignition

Hello All. Thank you in advance for your help. I have a 93 Sunbird 185SS with a 3.0L GM OMC Cobra. It was doing wierd things so a mechanic friend adjusted the timing. Bad mistake. So after reading from the SELOC online manual, it requires a timing shunt to compensate for the changes the icm module makes for the adjustment. Does anyone know how to make one? I tried my only local OMC repair facility and they were of no help. Thank you again for the help.

You can get the shunt from your local Volvo dealer, PN 885163. It costs just under 10 bucks.

I cannot believe it. I am in the capital city of CA and no one has one... Any other ideas?

Have them order you one. Helmuts marine in the SF Bay are may have one in stock.

Is there a way to do this with aligator clips etc. Instead of the shunt. I am going to order the shunt regardless, but need to time it this evening.

Not surre how you are going to put alligator clips on those 3 little terminals, but here is the way they have to be wired.

I tried Helmuts, they are 1 week out. Any other ideas? I apprecite your help on this.....
