Please help me identify this hardware

Im restoring an old nassau and im just wondering what this piece of hardware is. There is the same thing directly on the port side aswell.

Are they brackets for holding a folded VHF antenna? They don't look like anything stock, I'd be inclined just to remove them.

Theres a set on both port and starboard..i dont think there would be two antennas. I could be wrong though

My Nassau was as stock as the day she came out of the factory. It didn't have anything like that.

I'd take them off.

Wow that is one old Rude you have there, mid to late 50's?

No idea on the pot metal hardware and I can't imagine what it would be used for. :confused:

Maybe the clips are for a ladder that hung off the side. Doesn't appear that there are pins for something to be locked in or pivot on.

The motor is a 1967 lark IX selectric shift. Electric choke, start and shift. Purs like a kitten

I had this same thought just today. I think thats what ill use them for somehow
