i am looking for a sailboat with in the next couple of months i would like to know what you think and help me find one that suites me. i am only 15 years old i have sailing experience iv'e sailed before. biggest iv'e sailed is a 18'. i was hope to buy a sailboat with a swinging keel so i can trailer it. a boat that can be trailer'd. I was also looking for it to have a cabin to sleep nothing big. something to sleep maybe a sink. any ideas what size and what kind i should look into. i want some thing realitvly cheap and probably used.

Catalina 22 is a nice all around boat with plenty of them on the used market

Take a look for a Mirage 5.5, they are 20 feet, have a cabin, are able to single-hand but also race-able with an extra crew or two. It has a swing keel and is trailorable. They've been out of production since late 80's but there's a bunch around and they often show up for sale.

Here's the website for the Mirage Owners Group.... tons of info on it: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mirageownersclub/

Hunter 23 is trailerable, but not on a day by day basis (prob too much work to step and unstep the mast every time). What's the budget? You can probably find a mid 80's one for around 3K if lucky.
