I have a Johnson 5 HP outboard, circa 1967, and I lost the "hood" to the wind. I was told that the part is obsolete, and that I should search the internet for the part. The part number is Johnson #381487, and, like I said, it is the hood (top half cover of the motor). I am going to the beach for 2 weeks THIS SATURDAY, and I am desperate. Does anyone know where I can find this, or any suggestions on how I can cover the motor to not ruin my only vacation of the year. *** bless you if you can ! ! ! -Rich

I have a marine salvage shop here in Mineapolis which will certainly have the hood, it's just a matter of calling them and have it shipped.

Twin City Outboard
(952) 496 1951

They have parts for any outboards from 1906 to today.
