Re: please help!!!!!!!!!!! can you pump a 15hp way up i mean way up?????????
Yes, Mike. There is not "A" way to do it, There are a bunch of things that can be done to get more output, but each involves expense, reliability compromize and loss of flexibility.

Multiple, big-throat carbs feeding bigger reedplates with composite reeds. Forget idling.

Altered port timing. Forget low-end torque.

Radically increased compression ratio. Forget gasoline

Forged, single-ring pistons. Re-ring every 20 hours or so.

Recurved ignition with MSD to 10-12,000 rpm. Forget engine life.

Tuned, expansion chamber exhaust. Forget hearing and carry lots of cash to pay noise fines.

Silicon-based lubricant with methanol and varying percentages of nitro as fuel. Forget engine life, under $10/gal fuel.

You would then have about a $10,000 engine that would require a $1000, two blade prop, be difficult to start, wouldn't run at all below about 2500rpm, could be heard five miles away, would blow up on the average of every hour or so and cost on the average of about $100 an hour to operate, not counting repair.

Doesn't that make an engine designed to be a 25 horse more attractive?

Red sky at night. . . .
JB
