I see many ranges of deadrise from 13 to 21. What exactly does ot mean. Will the higher number mean dryer ride?

Re: please explain deadrise

Deadrise is the angle from the keel to the sides. 0 would be a flat bottom and 13-21 would be v-hull to deeper v-hull...

In very general terms, the flatter the bottom, the easier it is to plane with lesser horsepower. And the rougher the ride. As you increase deadrise, the opposite effect is the rule. Everything has its' trade-off.
