Plastic bowl gasket sealer

Anyone ever try perfect seal (or similar) to help those plastic johnson carb bowls?
ive replaced bowl and gaskets, leaking again.

Me personally... No. Others?... in pure desperation I'm sure they have, and I'm just as sure that they've encountered the problem of whatever substance they've used of having it being drawn into the fuel passageways to interfere with the fuel flow.

Not a good idea! Either switch to metal fuel bowls (Float Chambers) or if installing new plastic bowls, just snug the screws up... don't squish them down like we usually do with the metal bowls. If you fear they (the screws) might loosen up just being snugged down... apply a thin coating of "Loc-Tite" to the threads just before installing.
