just bought a new 06 hurricane sd217 w 5.0 mpi sx-gxi volvo outdrive .real slow to plane.. with more than two people wondering about smart tabs or a sting ray tail maybe lead shot in the anchor locker????

[colour=blue]Tabs maybe needed but before you go down that road you need to determine if the prop(s) are the correct size.

Maybe repost in the prop section.

FYI, my 2001 Hurricane SunDeck 237 with a 200 hp Yamaha HPDI jumps on plane with full fuel, 4 people and gear. Trim seems to make little difference out of the hole or during cruise.
Before buying this, we tried a fd217 and a fd237 -- both jumped up quickly on plane too.

By comparision, my previous 23' boat was much slower getting on plane even though it had a big block 7.4 liter).
