piston sleeves 65 hp

1972 65 hp does it have piston sleeves or is it a solid block. i think its solid but in not sure. i have to rebuild it.

Your block has cast iron sleeves, What kind of damage do you have that reguires resleeving?

My #1 piston broke a ring and caused alot of damage. i just came back from a machine shop and he it wouldn't pay to fix

Wiseco got pistons for that engine ,3115P? up to .040" oversize ,Link to PDF datasheet . .<br />If boring the cylinder up to 3.040" ( STD = 3.0" ) would clean up the damage , this would work .<br />If it´s worth is , thats your call :) , Piston = $85 , boring = ?? , other parts = ?? , work = ?? .

Gary If you bore one over size than you should bore all the same size for balance. :)

If you are using the engine in racing , or a member of S&F´s forum :) , then it´s best to bore/replace all pistons .<br /><br />But for ordinary use you can bore just on cylinder ( hone + replace rings on the other pistons ).<br />
