Piston Damage

Would it be worth rebuilding a 50 year old Evinrude 6hp if the pistons look this bad? The cylinders surprisingly look ok. Thoughts?

The foot needs to be resealed, needs a new water pump, the slow speed needle is bent...just sounds like a lot of money to me

If the piston is that bad, you have to wonder about the shape of the other parts (bearings,bushings etc)
all depends what the motor is worth to you

Put crank back in block,clean it up and paint it and use it as lawn art.

I would fix that.-----Of course I have al the used parts to do so.-----If you have to buy new parts then availability and $ will come into the decision.
