i have a dt30 c suzuki around a 93 i think? i haven't run the engine for about a year now. i was prepping the boat to go fishing, test running the engine in a barrel. and i noticed that no water was coming out of the pisser. the engine seems to be running fine. temperture seems normal water is coming out of upper exhaust fine. my only concern is am i over-heating an unprotected part of the engine. thank-you<br />sorry, i did try to clean out the tube with water pressure, a zip tie, and then a longer stainless steal wire with no luck. my main concern right now is could i ruin the engine with out the tube shooting out water. i am unable to see where the tube enters the engine. thanks for the fast response.<br /><br />Thanks a million OB, Bushcat,& iboats, blowing air did the trick. it took a while, but the water is coming out strong and i feels a whole lot safer with water coming out. it took about 2 hours but i feel a whole lot better about going fishing this week-end thanks again kavin

kavin,Inspect the waterpump indicator tip for obstruction.You may need to follow the hose that feeds it back to the block fitting and remove and check for any foriegn material that would restrict water flow.You can try clearing tube and fitting with something as simple as a paper clip.Tell us what you find.

Kavin, Keep looking for the obstruction(that is what it sounds like) in the pisser line. A good pisser shows good static pressure on the cooling system. I get dirt dobbers in my fleet, and I just blast the airhose into the hole while it is idling, and they allways clear......Also I have noticed that the stream is never as good as when the boat/motor is in the water. I use the flushers a lot and they are OK. Anyway, keep looking and you will find it...Goodluck. BushCat

Hi, I have a '94 Suzuki 65hp, and having the same problem... Please clarify which hole you are shooting the air into to blow the junk out?

Run some weedwhacker line into the telltale hose. It should dislodge anything in there.

Worse case scenario, drop the lower unit and run a garden hose to the intake pipe and flush the system....water should come out the telltale if there's no obstruction(assuming pisser is located before the t-stat, that is).
