Anyone else see the Umpire Jerry Meals decide it was time for bed and totally take control of the game and give the Braves a run and the win in the bottom of the 19th inning?
I didn't see it, aspeck, but while working and listening to my fav talk show on the radio today, I think you "hit the nail on the head". It is a call in show and almost everybody agrees with you!
I had just put 95 teenagers to bed and was exhausted myself when I saw the game was still on in the 18th inning! Watched the 18th and 19th inning and was so upset it took a while to get to sleep, and had to be up at 5:20 to be ready to wake the teens up and get them on their way today after feeding them! Not a happy camper! Ready for a nap now!

I was tied up watching the plate ump in the Rangers/Twins game walk a batter on 4 strikes and 2 balls by CJ Wilson, then strike Ian Kinsler out on 6 balls and one strike. The Twins ended up winning by 1 run. . .supplied by bad calls on pitches.
I guess he felt sorry for the poor Twins who were whomped 20-5 the previous evening.
The game was blacked out here in ATL, but I just saw the game video from the Braves TV broadcasters. The Braves announcers didn't believe it either. Beat'em, Bucs! That shows my age.
