I just read where a couple of Pink Salmon (Pacific species) have been caught here in Eastern Canada. Anybody have any experience catching these? Are they good eating? Do they get very big? A guy I know who lived in BC said these were considered the least desirable of the Pacific salmon species.

salt water humpies are fine eating, but they deteriorate rapidly once in the fresh water side of things. They hit pretty good on pixie spoons, daredevils, just about any flashy spoon. When they are in the area they are a hoot to catch even if you don't keep them, my brother and I would have contests to see who could catch the most at one sitting, we both caught + or - 30 of them one evening.
